I'm Jacqueline Walker. I'm a BEng Electronic & Computer Engineering
graduate from the University of York and am currently
undertaking an MSc in Communications & Signal Processing at the
University of Leeds. My recent work has been focused on
communications and branching out into hardware design projects.
This website acts as a showcase of various projects I am
currently undertaking or have finished, along with a store
of my university notes & work. I've also included some small
snippets of code for things that I find useful to look back at.
Project Work
Below lists some of my ongoing and finished projects.
- BEng Final Project [code]:
A report on visualizing initial task-mappings for many-core systems
by way of a custom Python-based UI.
- 5.25" Drive Bay USB Hub:
A 4-port USB 2.0-compatible USB hub designed to fit within a 5.25" drive bay.
- FM Radio Design Project: Project to design a
commercial FM radio receiver from scratch, based on the SA605. [writeup not finished]
- MSc Individual Project: Research project into
error-reconcilliation protocols used within quantum communication (QKD).
- Chatman: A proof-of-concept
chatroom program using TCP, where many users connect to a shared chatroom.
University Notes
Below list my in-progress notes from my postgraduate degree. Content
No collated notes were made during my
undergraduate degree. For a semi-comparable experience, Dave
Pearce's notes on gswce.net
are of great quality on communications & first-year electronics.
within can be assumed to be collated from the specified lecturer.
Source files available upon request, however there is no guarantee
they compile on your system. For the LaTeX template I designed,
see here.
Assorted Snippets
Below lists any miscellaneous work I deem to include.
